Key Responsibilities
Testing & Quality Assurance
Execute manual test cases for web, mobile, and/or desktop applications.
Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining test cases, test scripts, and test documentation.
Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
Log and track defects using bug-tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
Verify bug fixes and perform retesting as needed.
Process & Documentation
Document test results and communicate findings to the QA team and developers.
Participate in requirements reviews to understand acceptance criteria.
Assist in preparing test plans and supporting QA process improvements.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with developers and product teams to identify issues early in the development cycle.
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and team meetings (for Agile teams).
Communicate risks, blockers, and quality concerns in a timely manner.
Tools & Technology
Use QA tools for test execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
Assist with basic automated test execution (if applicable to the team).
Support testing across various environments, browsers, and platforms.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
Basic knowledge of test case design and defect-reporting practices.
Familiarity with tools like JIRA, TestRail, Postman, or similar.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Attention to detail and eagerness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications
Internship or some experience in QA or software testing concepts.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum processes.
Basic understanding of SQL for data validation.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Introductory exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
